Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator in Morton

Work location: Morton, Illinois, USA
Salary: $70 900 - $75 000 per year
Work schedule: 40 hours per week

• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state occupational health and safety regulations, as well as maintaining and preparing necessary records in accordance with established guidelines.
• Willingness to be trained in environmental protection procedures, rules and programs.
• Review relevant rules, standards and recommendations for occupational safety.
• Maintain documentation.
• Maintain awareness of existing and applicable legislation concerning safety and occupational hygiene, including OSHA, the Fire Code, EPA and other relevant regulatory bodies;
• Assist in conducting risk assessments related to performed work and the implementation of new equipment.
• Develop recommendations for management on risk mitigation measures, including ergonomic considerations.
• Respond to on-site emergencies.

• Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, occupational health, safety engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience related to Occupational Safety.
• Fundamental knowledge of federal, state and local regulations in occupational safety, safety engineering and environmental protection is required and preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, maintenance and facility management is preferred.
• Experience with safety and compliance of laser equipment.
