Job description

Vacancy: Fish processing plant worker in Alaska (Alaska General Seafoods)

Location: United States, Alaska (Naknek, Egegik, Ketchikan)
Employer: Alaska General Seafoods
Type of employment: Seasonal employment
Duration: up to 20 weeks

Responsibilities:

  • Cutting, sorting and packing fish (mainly salmon)

  • Work on the production line and in freezing rooms

  • Maintaining workplace cleanliness

  • Physical team work under the supervision of a supervisor

Conditions:

  • Pay: $21,4 per hour + overtime ($27.50+ for overtime)

  • Schedule: from 10 to 16 hours a day, 6–7 days a week

  • Accommodation and meals: provided (deductions from salary minimal)

  • Uniform and training: provided free of charge

Requirements:

  • Age from 20 to 55 years

  • Physical endurance, readiness for standing work in cold conditions

  • Responsibility, neatness, discipline

  • Knowledge of English is welcome, but not required

  • Possession of an international passport and readiness to obtain a visa (with agency support)
