Customer Delivery Specialist (CDL Class A Driver) in Sarasota

Work location: Sarasota, Florida, USA
Pay: $34 - $36 per hour
Work schedule: Full time

• Delivery of packaged chemicals
• Delivery within a radius of 500 to 700 miles from the plant location only.
• Safe operation of vehicles, including (but not limited to) dump trucks, tank trucks, off-road trucks
• Maintaining driver hours using Samsara and/or a paper log, loading trailers and planning daily runs in accordance with customer delivery requirements
• Keeping the truck and equipment in a safe and operable condition by performing daily and periodic mechanical checks and safety inspections
• Maintaining accurate up-to-date delivery location maps and performing work in accordance with DOT rules governing the transportation of hazardous materials, in compliance with national security requirements and guidelines
• Supporting regular communication with the sales department and supervisor to report on site issues and/or safety threats
• Adhering to zero-defect delivery procedures for all delivery assignments
• Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment during delivery operations
• Knowledge of safety techniques and taking every opportunity to improve driving and safety skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Commercial Driver's License Class A (CDL), 3 years of commercial driving experience, compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT rules over the past 3 years
• Willingness to travel 3-5 days per week, home on weekends and holidays
• Physical stamina and willingness to lift and carry at least 50 kg.
• Forklift, drum truck, trailer lift, chemical pump, hose, meter, printer and calibration device experience preferred
• devices.
• Experience handling products in various packaging types, including bulk, drums, tote and mini/micro deliveries preferred
• Familiarity with equipment relevant to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT rules governing hazardous materials transportation
