After 40 hours per week, all subsequent hours are paid at 150% (Overtime). Salary: Base rate: 27.30 USD/hour Overtime rate: 40.95 USD/hour Average income: from 6,500 to 12,000 USD per month during the high season, income may be higher depending on the number of hours worked. There is an up-to-date job offer at Silver Bay Seafoods fish processing plants in Alaska. The company is engaged in processing salmon and other seafood. The work takes place directly at the production facility. Required: fish processors; sorters; cutters; fillet cutters; packers; production line workers; freezer department employees; warehouse workers; washers and sanitation workers; kitchen staff; technical personnel. Responsibilities Receiving and sorting fish, cleaning and cutting, working on the production line, weighing, packaging finished products, boxing and preparing for freezing. The work is physical, most of the shift is spent standing. During the active season, long shifts and a large number of additional working hours are possible. Pay $24.30 per hour for the first 40 hours of work per week. All hours over 40 hours per week are paid as overtime at a 1.5 coefficient — $36.45 per hour. The final earnings depend on the number of hours worked and the length of the season. Schedule and conditions seasonal contract; day and night shifts; accommodation is provided; meals are provided; work clothes and shoes; transport to the workplace is provided under the employer's terms; work over 40 hours per week with increased pay is possible. Requirements Experience in fish processing will be an advantage, but for some production positions candidates without extensive experience may be considered. English is not mandatory for the main production positions. The main requirements are good physical condition, readiness for intensive work, compliance with safety rules, and the ability to work for the full duration of the seasonal contract. Document processing For foreign candidates, processing under the work visa H-2B is provided if the candidate is included in the employer's corresponding petition. After the employer confirms the candidate, the necessary documents are prepared for further completion of the visa procedure and departure to work in the USA.
