Vacancy: Processor at a fish processing plant (Alaska, USA)
Company: Alaska General Seafoods (Naknek, AK) — a large processor of wild Alaskan fish and seafood, including salmon, cod and other species, supplying products to domestic and international markets.
Responsibilities:
Processing of fish and seafood: sorting, washing, gutting, filleting, packing
Work on production lines with fish processing equipment
Quality control of products, compliance with sanitary regulations and food safety standards
Maintaining order and cleanliness at work areas
Interacting with colleagues and following supervisor instructions
Working conditions:
Contracts: 3 or 6 months (seasonal employment)
Salary: from $8,000 per month
Accommodation and meals provided by the employer
Visa and processing of all documents fully covered by the company, the candidate only pays for the petition and the food industry certificate (Food Handlers / HACCP)
Training is provided on-site, no work experience required
Possibility to extend the contract or transfer to other company facilities
Requirements:
Physical stamina and willingness to work in cold and wet conditions
Readiness for shift work up to 12–16 hours during peak seasons
Basic English knowledge to follow instructions and safety rules
Attention to detail and accuracy when handling products
